What Is Christmas?

Christmas is the season
That's my favorite time of year
Lighted trees and candy canes
Much happiness and cheer.

Christmas is the season
For children old and young
Gifts to wrap and toys to hide
And stockings to be hung.

Christmas is the season
Of good food and lots of fun
Baking cookies, cakes, and pies
To share with everyone.

Christmas is the season
For friends and family
Greeting cards and special gifts
And songs sung merrily.

Christmas is the season
When God sent from up above
His one and only son to us
To show us His great love.

Christmas is the season
Let us join in one accord
To celebrate the greatest gift
The birth of Christ the Lord!
